One Birth, All the Difference

A special gift
( born this very day )
  has just received a letter.
A letter with a modest wish
 of happiness, hope, and prayer.

May this day,
no matter the minute, the hour, the year,
be remembered by you and all you hold dear,
for today you were brought to us
and here with us you'll stay.

Each word you say,
 each step you take,
  affects us all in waves.

Remember each and every day:
 that like the moon
  you sweep us all away
   and
    pave the paths
     we would not have found
      any other way.
