One Step


One Step… One step closer to having a life that’s brilliant and bright One step closer to living the way that’s right Shadows may cast doubt that invoke hate and intolerance But we being champions, disavow the stigma and the politics Our eyes see only a fraction of what’s true Our hearts share the beauty of the diversity of me and you Refute the negations of black and white We all see the same from the sun’s shining light Erasing exclusion is not done by any physical means Inspire the change that makes a difference for it to be seen
