Out Alive

Trapped
Never was myself.

Always reminded

At my bare locker.

Brand names were never

My thing.
It never seemed to work.

Popped collars and Coach

To flannel shirts and black converse,

Don’t even get me started
On the music

I tried listening to.

Fitting in wasn’t an option

For me.

I didn’t want to stand out.
Conflicted.

I didn’t have a place.
Confused.

My anxieties
Locked away,

Forever in #256.
