Outcast

I walk down the cold dark halls

and glance upon the cold grey walls

The attention and conversations fall upon me

I hide my face and look down sadly

As usual I was the talk of the school

they all made me feel like some worthless tool

The darkness swallowed me and I had no choice

I had to stand up and be my own voice

If no one would help me find my way out of the dark

I had to be independent and strike up a spark

The light burst through the darkness that fell

I was no longer a part of this living hell

I had become my own muse and stood through the night

I finally became that shining light

No longer was I the one who looked down upon myself

I was look down upon by everyone else
