A Part of Me
A part of me is shaken.
A part of me is burned.
A part of me is broken.
A part of me is hurt.
Never am I lonely.
But alone I feel, is so.
Never to be together,
Or have friends to hold.
Friends who I laugh with, no.
Friends who share my secrets with, no.
But how do I feel standing?
With how far I’ve come along,
To only feel the wind,
Of my heart’s past songs.
A piece of me is missing.
A piece of me misplaced.
A piece of me shattered.
A piece of me replaced.
I only keep going,
In the emptiness of strangers,
That someday will love me,
And my heart will fill this space.
