Perfect and Flawless

People cannot tear her down,

She is a barricaded wall.

Her confidence is high,

she isn’t afraid to stand tall.

Unlike them, she isn’t scared,

She doesn’t coward away.

She is skilled in self confidence,

Thanks to them, she is who she is today.

They tore her to pieces,

So long ago.

They ripped her up,

Until she felt so alone.

She went home that day,

Lower than ever before.

But when she stepped in front of that mirror,

She saw something she could not ignore.

This girl was flawless,

On the inside and out.

From her wide-set eyes,

To her lopsided pout.

Now she strides through the halls,

Not a fear in her mind.

No one can hurt her,

Not even the unkind.

Without them, she wouldn’t know.

Thanks to them, hurtful and careless,

They made her into who she is now.

Perfect and flawless.
