Psychological Pain
One sunny day in Dekalb County, Georgia, Dunaire Elementary is where the kids play.
Some of the children are mean, while others are quite nice.
Teachers there make efforts to teach, to the best of their ability.
On campus staff make sure kids are safe, but is this statement true.
On blazing hot days do they step out, of the cool shade to help others.
Do they take the responsibiity, when children get hurt on the yard.
That day Jaheem returned home, from a long day at his school.
He asked his mother what "gay" means, boys had been teasing him at school.
He didn't want to go back and look like a fool, but he had to return anyways.
There he felt as if he were in, a dark black dungeon.
The kids were using him as their prey, there he sat scared and confused.
Hot and sweaty from being nervous, with many thoughts going through his mind.
When he returned home he told his mother, she didn't take it as being serious.
He went to his room and nailed his belt to the wall, with tears running down he let himself fall.
Sticks and stones may break your bones, and words can hurt you.
