The real you


It was all you The pain, the fear The crippling fear Oh it was their words And fists But you stood there with that smile Let’s play pretend to care Tell me you didn’t mean each word Tell me you weren’t just as bad as them Pretend you didn’t hurt me I dare you Look me in the eye just once Stop signing words of peace, to the choir And flinging words of hate to your best friend Stop this act Tell me which ways up and which ways down Tell me where we’re going Tell me you didn’t mean it Or that you did Just for once I’m begging stop the game Pick a side Make up your mind Just tell me who are you? really
