Say Cheese!
Smiling for the camera even when you don’t feel like smiling.
Come Here!
Running to the aid of ones you love and even the ones you don’t love when your legs are too weak to even walk, laughing and joking, even when you feel like crying
The world never making sense for you, all this confliction and confusion clouding your judgment, yet you still find light and joy in bringing light to others, like the sun in the sky, giving life and light, always serving, but never being serve…

The Moon Owl

I am Basirat but every one calls me Kemi. Poetry is my passion, I have always been good at writing but I never truly realized that poetry was my talent. My poetry persona is The Moon Owl for many reasons, for one I do some of my best writing at night time, that is when I am always awake like an owl. The moon's light is a reflection of the Sun and I strive for all of my light and glory to reflect the Son (Jesus Christ) and the owl represents wisdom which is something I have that is beyond my years. I am currently working on trying to publish my poetry in a book this year:)
