She Is No Less Than You

A girl who waits day by day Hoping that someone can take her pain away They tease and they nag But no one can see That little girl is lo less than you or than me She doesn't feel beautiful She is ashamed her her weight The shape of her nose The sound her voice makes She's afraid to step out because she knows all she'll hear Is the snickers of the girls who don't understand how she feels She wishes it would end, it could all end right now The constant intimidation of just leaving her house She begs and pleads with her mother to stay home When she's sent off to school her mother won't know That they laugh and tease her On her hair Her weight The shape of her nose The sound her voice makes She hides in the back so no one can see The scars that she has because of you and me But she is no less than you and I She is an angel in God's eyes But still we pick and we tease And she begs for us to leave But the pain we caused is just too great And now to her Apologies will come too late
