The shell

There was an inocence in the air around him. A smile on his face that held joy. He was incompetent to know that they wanted to make him hurt. He had what they could never get. To break him was their goal. And in breaking him they did, far worse than before. The innocence around him was gone. In his place a lifeless shell of him was left behind. The girl that saw all, was just like him. She reached out, and in time. She did.
