A Shining Beacon for...
Every time I tried to stare
I was brought down by my fears.
I struggled to stay true and fair
Shedding all the chants and jeers.
I wasn’t born without a soul
I could feel their pain as well.
I had parted normal wholes
It was my personal hell.
Now I’m older, more mature, not innocent
And times are better in my head.
I’ve learned to look back on that fateful day
And all those leeches I’ve come to dread.
Now we have a shining beacon
Of hope, despair, and fear.
But even though I am alone
I shall refuse to stare.
