Silent
Let them be loud
always speaking their minds
repeating what everyone else says.
Talking nonsense just so others
can hear them
We listen but don’t speak,
always saying ‘yes’
but wanting to say ‘no’
We keep to ourselves
always having a plan
doing things unnoticed
wanting to be alone
but not wanting to be
lonely
My voice is quiet
but my mind is
L O U D
filled with ideas
and thoughts
carrying me away
like a cloud
I’d rather be quiet
in a world that won’t stop talking
than be forced to speak
when all i want
to be is
silent
