Speaker Cone Confections
I was thirteen
my family packed into a van
"Wham bam thank you pam" to the land where I began
Fuck my school, fuck my friends, fuck my plan
knocked off my feet
and now I really can't stand
damn
cause this place really ain't a decent home
at my new school, kids said
"Leave the freak alone"
scared to go to lunch
no second spent breathing slow
not one friend
struggling to keep ahold
damn
I thought I was a decent bro
bullies break hearts
never let a teacher know
I'd rather head home climb the stairs chill be alone take my soul out and plunge it deep into a speaker cone
only headphones keep thoughts out my head
fuck thoughts
I'm lost in soft sounds instead
pause now and set
the song loud and jet
straight into some of that
music
