Stay Strong

It was a gloomy Wednesday

Air was thick and gray clouds covered the sky like a blanket

Keeping to my own business is what I do best

These two shadowy figures approached me again in the long, narrow hallway

Today I was not going to have their physical and mental abuse

I’m sick and tired of it and I’ve had enough

It was time to stand up for myself

It was time for me to be brave

These two figures were no longer my puppeteer and I was not their puppet

I grew into a strong tree with branches to guide others to do the same
