Stop the sadness
I can't even walk down the hall
without knowing that this is happening to someone
I know in just a second someone's bound to fall
But what can I do? What is there to be done.
He gets slammed into the locker
He gets called names and pushed around
It seems like every other week he's having to go to the doctor
The other day on the ground were a pair of glasses I had found
His cry echoed through out the hall
Suddenly my heart ached because he was the one to fall
I saw the crowd jeering, throwing papers, and howling without a care
I knew this poor boy didn't have a prayer.
I pushed threw the crowd, yet I never met him
just to see this kid they picked on, but all i saw was an expression so grim
He looked up from the position he formed
The crowd pushed closer and it was like bees as they swarmed.
His eyes were wet and the tears seemed to dissapate
I could see the anger in his eyes but I feared his fate.
I couldn't stand it
watching them push him and pull him, watching him be hit.
I pushed through the crowd and sat by his side.
I put my arm around him and let him know he didn't need to hide.
I picked him up and out of the crowd we walked
And just like that we started to talk.
As the years passed by and we had grown
He still thanks me for the kindness I have shown.
Just by one person making a choice
You can be the difference and you can be the voice.
For those that don't have one, and those who are afraid
Why add to the sadness that the world has made.
It happens every day in the hall.
It happens everyday to people everywhere.
But they don't have to fall.
So stand up to the bullying and let someone else know you care.
