Sunflower
It stands tall in the meadow of flowers
All alone, beautiful as it sits for hours.
But the light dims as the sun goes down,
its beauty fades away and the sunflower turns brown.
For this is something it cannot change,
so disturbing it seems as it should be locked in a cage.
It is obvious that something is wrong
because it stays this way all night long.
Soon the night falls and the sun is rising,
the light touches and once again the sunflower is disguising.
