The Teachers Don't Know

We know they try their best.

But they don't know what goes on in the halls.

I know that life is a test.

But this section happens between classroom walls.

Every word that has ever been said,

Every look that has ever been given,

Has been carved into the victim's head,

and caused each to become less driven.

They try their best, they really do.

But the teachers are simply unaware.

Each mocking spite or hideous view,

cannot be described or ever compared.

We try to hide our aching pain,

Our sorrows, guilt, and internal fear,

when really, inside, we're hardly sane.

And, in our thoughts we shed yet another tear.
