The Cold Blue Night

The sky is clear, yet somehow sad, A quiet darkness makes it glad— Or perhaps it hides what I cannot hear, While distant voices echo near. What is this fear that fills the air, As if no living soul is there? No light, no warmth, no laughter bright, Just lonely shadows in the night. Oh, my Almighty, oh, my dear, I am lost in frost, and it’s cold out here. Where no one waits, and none can cheer, I wander through the silent sphere. I am a snowball, waiting still, For the right call, the right time, the right will. I wish to build a little hall, A place that feels like home through it all. Oh, my Almighty, oh, my dear, Perhaps there is something I must bear. Yet beneath this cold and endless blue, I still hope the morning will come through.
