Ten minutes,
Ten minutes of writing without stopping
letting the words pour out
Ten minutes to sate the never ending tide
Just for a moment
Five songs,
What is five songs in the grand scheme
five songs to pour my words out to
our words are precious
our truth to give freely to strangers is an art
Ten minutes, Five songs
What do these matter we all drown eventually
Time ticks by over and over again
you can't turn back time
We fill this time with mindless noise
are we afraid of the silence
or of our own thoughts
Five minutes,
we go through our lives making mindless noise
I admire those who are deaf they are stuck in the silence
in their own thoughts
sure they speak through writing
through gestures yet still
it may be all they know
do you think they are afraid of their thoughts
are you?
Two minutes,
The clock passes by
we are inconsequential
inconsequential what a funny word
its entirety is to describe something worth nothing
aren't we nothing
aren't we inconsequential
but those in our inconsequential moment
aren't we worth something to them
aren't we worth consequence
Worth nothing, Worth everything
The timer still goes off
Five, Four, Three, Two, One, Zero
The alarm is screaming
The noise is back
Why are we afraid of our thoughts
Of the silence that surrounds them
In this Inconsequential time
Why don't we become something
something worth consequence
