A Thought

If I am not beautiful,

Will you care to see

What lies far inside of me?

If my skin is not tan,

Will you care for my mind?

Speak up young student!

Are you creatively blind?

Do you want my opinion on political crisis?

Or do you only care for whose shirt looks the nicest?

What about music?

What about books?

Theres so much more in this world than just looks.

That kid in the hallway whose shoes aren't quite new,

Still has plenty to say

To me and to you.
