Time
I've spent my life building things that will always crumble.
Fall prey to the sands of time.
And despite knowing this, I continue to build.
A book that I don't know how to finish.
Songs with no end.
Poems with no meaning.
And yet, I build.
Defying time.
Time is the only thing we truly have.
But also the one thing we can never have.
After all, it gives us everything we could want.
But it also rips it away.
Ending everything.
A paradox that will never end, never stop, never break.
Ruthless, isn't it?
Yet, we all find time to waste time.
I happen to find it hilarious.
Very human of us.
It just so happens that all of us are foolish.
We consider ourselves on top of the world.
Yet there's always a darker shadow.
A bigger, badder wolf.
Ours is time.
And we waste it.
Waste it as it slowly kills us.
It's hilarious.
