Tormented

Location

His mind was racing

Moving back and forth in his room he couldn't stop pacing

He occasionally looked at the screen and began hating who he was

He recollected how his parents gave him pain but never hugs

Now he realized that the abuse was at his school

Simply because he liked learning did that make him uncool?

Nerd and loser were words posted on his page

He began feeling lonely and trapped, as though he was in a cage

A cage tormented by all those who he disliked

All those who hated him and always tried to pick a school fight

Why was he being judged for being himself?

Sometimes that made him wish that he was somebody else

Tears ran down his face as he stared at the screen again

He had nobody to turn to, not even a friend

Turning to punch the door that was near his bed

A disturbing thought suddenly popped up in his head

I'm not worth anything, so who cares if I pass?

That would stop all the tormenting and bullying that I face in every class

With this in mind he left his room to go to the closet

Pulling out a gun he remembered when his father originally bought it

“Never play with this son,” his drunk father would always say

But now he was thinking that today was day

Today is the day when all the bullying is going to end

Today is the day that people are going to pretend they used to be my friends

Today is day when all my pain will go away

Today is the day when everything will finally be ok

Moving towards the mirror he took one last look

He saw a sad lonely boy who was never held but always shook

Shook by those that he feared

And shook by those who he thought were near and dear

He aimed the gun towards his face while his hand kept shaking

Hearing the alert that another post was on his page made him feel as though his heart was slowly breaking

With one finger on the trigger he felt the tears run down

Then suddenly all that was heard was the sound of his body falling to the ground.
