Tormented Rose

All I wanted was love and care.

Isn't that the reason I was planted here?

In a garden with such magic and beauty,

but instead I was left as a forgotten duty.

See me wither, see me in such pain.

I'm striving for survival, but is it done in vain?

I wanted to grow, I wanted to live.

But no one helps. What wrong did I commit?

I may not be a beautiful lily,

or a breathtaking orchid.

I am just a rose.

One who is in need of love

not torture.
