Trust

Grab the outstretched hand.

Take it now.

You never know when your strength will give out.

Believe.

Believe me when I say I've got you.

When I say you are safe with me.

You don't know if you ever will be again.

Help.

Help me understand why you flee.

Why you are so short of breath.

Breathe.

Breathe in the presence of my comfort.

Of the smell of understanding around you.

Who knows when it may be gone.

Trust.

Grab the outstretched hand.

And hold it tight.

For this is nowhere being

your last and final fight.
