Unhinged

Where is the ability to smile?

Wondering the earth forever,

Kissing the soil that brings life.

Who can bring me happiness?

Holding on until it hurts,

closing my eyes to rest,

What is the meaning of fear?

Consuming the whole world of chaos,

Etching itself into my heart.

Why can the feeling overcome my will?

Running into the ceiling of closure,

Opening all doors to failure.

When will I understand it all?

Stalling the progress to success,

Crying before shame.

SATAMOVA

My family immigrated from Russia to the U.S. in 2005. I know both English and Russian and I'm also currently studying German in school. My plan for university is to initially get a Bachelor's Degree, work in my profession, and then go back to get a Master's. I know some Turkish and I want to learn it fluently as well as German. I want to pursue a career that will satisfy my interests in both psychology/sociology as well as languages and law. That reasoning led me to want to study something like international affairs/business. I find writing poetry to be very effortless and flowing. I use poetry as an outlet for my thoughts.
