Unknown
Are you even looking?
Looking out into the world?
Anywhere?
I could be anywhere.
But I’m here.
Why can’t you find me?
How do I know you’re looking?
How do I know that you aren’t purposely trying to get away from me?
Give me sign!
Please.
A sign.
Any type.
Large.
Small.
Even a hidden sign,
that I have to find.
Just something to let me know you're out there somewhere.
And your heart is beating.
And your blood is pumping.
Just let me know that you’re out there looking.
But wait!
I’m counting on you to let me know you’re out there looking.
When I’m right here where I’ve always been not searching for you,
Not giving you a sign.
And when I think about this deeply,
It would make things easier if I was searching for you.
And your blood pumping heart,
That’s just like mine.
The blood pumping heart with its musical beats,
That range from a stampede of buffalo;
To droplets of water leaking from a sink that hasn’t been turned off all the way.
We both love each other,
And we would even more if we both gave each other signs and searched.
Searched for the sounds of our hearts beating together.
BOOM BOOM,
BOOM BOOM,
BOOM BOOM.
As one.
Our hearts are beating.
Together.
Please search for me.
Please.
And I’ll search for you.
