Valuable People Are Present

You don’t have to hit me For it to hurt. Your words are as sharp As the blade with which you would have stabbed me. You think it’s funny Barring me from your table, But that type of behavior Takes an emotional toll on me. You shove me For meaningless reasons, But I don’t fight back Because I know this pain is momentary. I won’t tolerate this anymore Because my life has meaning. My future will be bright. I will be strong. One day you’ll realize you were wrong. You’ll suffer from guilt Because your actions always did harm. But until then I hope my happiness annoys you.
