Waves and Water
There he stands each night,
looking down into the water.
He searches for the lovely girl,
who lives under the waves.
It was there she sunk,
deep into the water.
Her pockets filled to the brim with rocks,
so as not to escape the waves.
There online did it start,
her treading on the dark water.
The others laughed and named her whore,
and she slipped under the waves.
It was at his locker he saw her,
he wanted to share her water.
He knew her pain and suffering,
he wanted to calm her waves.
There she stood up on that bridge,
looking down into the water.
Their words flashing through her mind,
as she jumped down into the waves.
It is here on the bridge now,
he stands looking down into the water.
He shouts everything he should have then,
but now his worrds get buried in the waves.
