This is What I've Become

Your lies are thrown at me giving me no alternative. I do exactly as you have done, yet it is not enough. You thrust it back in my face along with more lies. "I love you" they say "You mean something" they taunt. I cover my ears to protect them I lock myself away to heal I run with legs full of lead they all drag me down. I can never be who I once was all because of the lies. The lies I've been fed since young, the lies that were truth for so long, the lies that you spat in my face. Is it really my fault then that this monster is what I've become?
