What They Roll For

Cheeks are tear stained

Streaked with regret and hurt.

So much hurt.

the laughter echos in her ears

Like Satan keeps hitting repeat.

Repeat.

Repeat.

Repeat.

This is what she feared

To be mocked for trusting

Trusting too much.

Now there is nothing.

No happiness.

No love.

No hope.

Tears continue to roll.

They roll for foolishness

They roll for anger

They roll for the wasted time.

No one listens.

So much wasted time.

The only thing of value left

Is those hours, minutes.

Repeat.

Repeat.

Repeat.

Seconds.
