who am i?
Who am I?
Do you know...
Can you tell me?
This is all I know...
I am a woman
short and small
flitting like a butterfly as I use my wings
from flower to flower I flutter.
I flit and I float constantly on the go
never having a flower to call my own.
Who am I?
Do you know...
Can you tell me?
This is all I know...
My pelt is brown
brown like a bear cub.
I roam as I go...
in search for my perfect home...
a place of comfort
a place to roam
a place to dream I can call it my own.
Who am I?
Do you know...
Can you tell me?
This is all I know...
I am pale
pale as snow, pale as the milk
that you drink
like the sun has not kissed me awake
for I am not loved to put
the red into my cheeks.
Who am I?
Do you know...
Can you tell me?
This is all I know...
I don't know why
looks should matter to the people
who know me,
Who can tell me who I am.
But they are wrong.
That is not who I am.
They do not know who I am.
Who am I?
Do you know...
Can you tell me?
This is all I know...
I am me
that is all i want to be.
I don't hide
that special person inside
that's me.
Who am I?
Do you know...
No but you can try,
if you are willing
to look at the person found inside.
And this is what I know.
