Why?

Why?

Why must you hide?

Why can't you show who you are?

Why do you act so strangely?

Why do you mask yourself in fake smiles when there is so much pain behind your eyes?

Why?

Because.

Because I cannot be found.

Because I cannot be seen.

Because I cannot show, or they will hide.

Because I must remain silent, or they will laugh and jeer at me.

Because.

Why?

Why can you not be found?

Why can you not be seen?

Why will they hide?

Why will they laugh and jeer?

Why?

Because.

Because they will be afraid.

Because they will run.

Because I'm a monster, the monster under the bed.

Because they cannot help but be human

Because.

Why?

Why do you care what they think?

Why do you care what they see?

Why do you care if they hide?

Why?

Because I cannot help but be human myself.
