"Why do you talk so white?"

Well sir, what do you mean?

I'm only talking the way I know how to speak,

are you sure I don't talk pink?

"But, why don't you talk black?"

For the same reason I don't talk turquoise, green, or cream.

I talk proper.

"But you're black! How were you raised?"

Well,

I was raised by two parents who care about me.

I was raised to love books and read,

go to school so I can eventually earn a degree.

But,

Overall,

I was raised to love everything about myself,

even what you may consider undersirable qualities.
