A Word is a Tool
A word is a tool.
Sticks and stones may break my bones,
But words drill holes deeper than any twigs or pebbles can.
A word is a tool.
Men load their guns with words and face their enemy,
gazing down the barrel with their finger on the trigger and their eyes quivering.
A word is a tool.
My heart yearns when the words escape the mouth of the criminal
It stings below the surface of my skin and rips through my soul
A word is a tool.
Words can't be undone and words can't be unsaid.
So be careful what words you use,
Because a word is a tool.
