You'll Regret It

You know I’m nice enough to shut up. I let my venomous words sink back inside. What’s the point of useless fights? Don’t confuse me with your world, you have no idea the girl lurking inside. You know, I’m kind enough to look the other way. I let the actions go unnoticed through knowing eyes. Why speak up when no one listens? Honestly, my mask hides me wonderfully. I let my outer shell be beaten, lost out in the cold night. My kindness shrivels up in weakness as you betray my phony self. I’ll keep letting you crush me because, one far off day, my inner self will only be left. You’re the one that’ll regret it.
