You're A Big Mess

You're a big mess

Your taunting words have left a burning hole in my chest

I lay my head on my pillow in agony wishing I was older

Then maybe I'd have tougher skin and not this chip on my shoulder

You're a big mess

And I know you are too

Although you beat me down I still desire to help you

Because someone who is so cold, once have been told

That they will amount to nothing and feel worthless while growing old

You are toxic

You've wanted to chase your dreams

While your loved ones just said "Stop It"

They don't believe in you and they sure aren't seeking to

So you find comfort and power in hurting me

To build up your bruised ego and low self-esteem

I want to help you and there is still hope

Since no one has taught you how to cope

With being belittled by the ones you love the most

So projecting your insecuities on me is only tightening my throat

Soon enough there can be no fixing if i'm hanging by a rope

You're a big mess but I sympathize

For the sake of my well being please don't critisize

For I am just as hurt as you and it's okay to cry

Don't put me down all because you're trying to hide

All the pain and the anger it's all pent up

I forgive you for taunting me just dont give up

I understand you can't deal and you're all fed up

But i'm a human too we know this world's corrupt

Putting down others will not help you

If I can stay stong then you can too.
