Think Before You Think

October 25, 2016

You walk with your shoulders high

chin up, towards the sky

You drag your ego as you glide

filled with conceit and pride

The new girl walks against the wall

cowering, no friends at all

she holds back tears that you mock in vain

And returns home with a new complain

One week later she's no longer seen

leaving you, the envied queen

you laugh it off, say what a shame!

you can no longer play your game

Mom sits teary eyed one night

had a fight with Dad last night

He left home, refusing to negotiate

next month you will relocate

you cry all week but bring change not

your friends have left you and forgot

You're the new girl in this school

and you're no longer cool
