At The Table

October 2, 2019
They came to the table and sat down

The two of them talked and laughed

But soon those two became three

As a babbling baby joined them

The three of them talked and laughed

But soon those three became four

As another baby joined them

The four of them talked and laughed

But soon there came an uncomfortable silence

In that silence anger and hatred grew between the first two table guests

Those to two would scream and fight

While the other two would cry and wail

And soon the four became three

It was silent was more as the three grieved

It’s been a little hard for them to go back to how it was

Slowly but surely, they started to talk to each other a little more

And I hope soon they’ll be learn to talk and laugh like they did before sitting at the table
