Be Gone

December 13, 2013

If I think about it, I can remember,

My bright eyes, red cheeks, and age so tender.

They took my joy, they caused me pain,

They tried to take the knowledge that I was destined to gain.

And they tried to break me and they almost did,

I couldn’t control it, I was only a kid.

Bullies be gone, bullies be gone… bullies just leave me alone,

Bullies be gone, bullies be gone…  “mommy come get me I want to go home”.

Teacher, make the bullies disappear,

I can’t spend the rest of my life living in fear.

Although people barely rescued me,

I knew something else was my destiny.

Graduation, congratulations, I finally made it through,

Thank God I made it because I chased a dream of one I never knew.

Now bullies stay gone, bullies stay gone, bullies stay away…

Because I don’t want you to harm another bright eyed child that will come again someday.
