I is for insecure

August 7, 2014
What is insecurity?
When you can't talk to that boy?
When your afraid to go up on stage?

No

It's when you know you can't do it
Because you know your a failure
You know because of the children

When you were young
On the playground
You were the freak
You were the loser

You sat alone and played in the dirt
They surround you
Chanting
Screaming

Freak, stupid, loser
But oh there just children
They don't know
The impact of their words
Can tear someone apart

Make them feel worthless
You hear it all the time
Your not worth it
You can't do it

And as you grow
You learn to accept
They're right

I don't trust others
I can't speak up
I am a child
In an adults world

Not to be loved
Not to be cared for
I am only a child.
