To The Bigots

December 5, 2018

it’s not about being sensitive

it’s not about being a social justice warrior

it’s not about being PC

and no i’m not triggered

it’s about feeling safe

it’s about feeling comfortable

if i think you could hurt me, why would i be laughing

if i think you could turn on me, why would i share the banter

if i think you have prejudice towards me,

why would i go along with the joke

why should i back down, turn around, brush it off

why can’t i report you, not tolerate you, come right back at you

i’m not sensitive, i’m just me, and if you don’t respect that, how do i respect you
