Impact

May 7, 2013
I need a way to say I never meant it to go that way Never did I think I made a big impact Maybe that’s why I attacked I just never predicted the way you’d react Now I stare at you Your face frozen in a frown I wish I’d never been the class clown Trying to fit in by stomping you down It wasn’t worth putting you in the ground I keep saying I’m sorry Though you don’t hear a sound In my head memories Go round and round As if they can summon you back If only time could rewind But then I wouldn’t be rhyming To make your story known And a lot more people like you Would be hurting by people like me This is the way for me to say I never would have attacked If I had known How you could react And how I could make such an impact
