In my heart I've searched for love my entire life,

but when you turned and looked at me in Chem class,

I felt my heart beat for the first time. 

At first it was the little things, you telling me what to wear, soon it became bigger

you made me cut my hair. 

"Because I love you", you said. "I want you to be at you're best."

Yet, you couldn't see me, becoming the worst I've ever been.

I love you, and I thought you loved me

but I was just you're puppet,

you played and controlled me.

I began to notice the tears from the girl in the mirror,

I had pushed her away for so long but now I could see her clearer. 

"Because I love you, I'm leaving him today," and in that moment 

the tears were wiped away.
