They say im not suppose to know about you 

because im

to young speak of your presence

to immature to understand your depth

to innoscent to know how dangerous you really are

and 

how you can give personfication to the stars

give the moon a voice 

and the sun the stregth to shine 

through the darkest of night 

when the moon just couldnt find the stregth to fight

i met you at nine years old 

on perry elis street

when we had nothing but bread and cheese to eat 

you kept me feed spritually , emotionally , and physically 

poetry you gave me my voice my purpose

you are my first love

when the pen and the ink birth 

a lyrical masterpiece

and the pieces and the lines and the rythm sing musical note across my 

loose leaf and my heart jumps with passion

you are my reason why can now speak about my father

the reason i can move pass being homeless

because i felt hopeless poetry 

you showed me my purpose 

i just wanted to tell you how thankful i am
