Alone

James 3:14 New King James Version (NKJV)

14 But if you have bitter envy and self-seeking in your hearts,

do not boast and lie against The Truth.

Standing alone in loneliness in the midst of a crowd of people

The zest of life seems faded as my heart lies at my feet

It’s just me in only-ness who feels so weak and feeble

Now all light seems shaded as I’m clinging to defeat

Where are the days of happiness ... who changed times for the worse?

Who opened the floodgates of despair and took the sunshine away?

Who filled my dreams with emptiness ... who self-imposed the curse?

Who blames folk here and everywhere for my life in disarray?

Is it by choice to freely set my feelings on this page?

Is it for self-attention this escape into the known?

Is it just a misconception to get others on my stage?

The selfish not to mention ... never to be full grown
