Once a person undergoes heart break 

most will say it is comparable 

to a hole in their chest. 

I never understood. 

I always thought  this was said

because it was a cliche.

I never believed these people 

actually felt as if

there was a void in their chest. 

but now I do/ 

I can feel it too. 

I am afraid 

that it will suck me up from the inside

it will consume me whole

and that I will be nothing.
