Bells

“The bell doesn’t dismiss you, I do!”

We’ve all heard this being shouted from the mouths of fuming “educators”.

We are controlled by the torturing sound of a bell.

Ding, “Don’t forget about the test tomorrow.”

We rise absent mindedly and file out of the classroom.

Isn’t it time to revolt?

Time to ignore the very bell that demands structure?

The bell doesn’t dismiss us, we do.
