Beyond the Eyes
Just the eyes of a lamb in the woods;
With a serene face, yet with a dismal mood;
Just one well-feathered penguin onto the ice;
With a tickled face, yet a soul without spice;
Eyeballing those like me in the spacious sky,
With flapping wings, yet with a drive to spy;
All sort of views come from beyond the eyes;
And so is the neatest abode for hordes of lies.
Beyond the eyes rests a very abyss of thoughts;
Yet the spot in which good and bad are fought.
Beyond the eyes rest splendor and lines of dirt,
Just like a superb street with foul hanging skirts.
A spot when roosters speak with human is wet,
And a spot when mutts growl at human is dry.
Beyond the eyes, there are love, mercy, and peace;
Beyond the eyes, there are hatred, cruelty, and war.
