Black Queen

 Black queen,

You are beautiful.

Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

Your melanin is your gift,

Not your curse.

Im sorry you don’t fit in.

Youre called an oreo because you don’t twerk or listen to rap music.

You enjoy paramore and P!Nk,

And other “white songs”.

Youre tongue is used to the blandest foods,

But that’s not your fault.

Just because you grew up uncultured,

Doesn’t mean you have no culture.

You come from a line of strong black women,

And proud black men.

You color tells a story that you should shout from the heaven.

Black queen,

You are loved and appreciated.

The world may not know it yet,

But we need you.

We need your grace and beauty,

You pride and courage.

We need you to be strong and never forget your history,

For young girls will look up to you for guidance.

Never drop your crown to please others.

You black is beautiful,

Inside and out.

So sit on your thrown like the queen you are.
